The story / wedding photographer Mykonos
Samah and Ahmad’s wedding at Mykonos!
Samah and Ahmad come from Arabic countries and have Greece and especially Mykonos at an exceptional place at their hearts!!
Mykonos is their favorite destination and only the fact that choose this island to be the destination of their wedding proves that!
They got married at the beautiful Elia beach just next to the sea! The wedding was held, in the company of the blue sea and sky ….. and the wind!!
The fact that it was too windy did not really spoil the ceremony but the truth is that it made it shorter than it was planned to be! Too windy but after all Mykonos is the island of the winds and it is known as such 🙂
Royal Mykonian hotel which is situated at the cliff by Elia beach was the place that Samah got ready in the company of her dear friends! The fact that they stayed out until the morning hours the previous night did not help but hey, you only get married once after all!! 🙂
The best way to fight the hangover is to continue next day from where you left it last night!
So, yes after the ceremony and the big and tasteful dinner there was the even bigger party time on the beach!!
It was a lovely wedding, lovely party with lovely people!
Next day was the wedding portraits day!
We started from Mykonos trademark, the windmills and stroll within the Chora alleys until we ended the session at Panagia Pentaportiani church at the other side of the Mykonos capital.
Obviously we kept touch and I hope I see them again sometime in the near future.

Samah and Ahmads impressions
This is a wonderful testimonial received from this lovely couple,
«The first thing we want to say is what an absolute pleasure it was to have Athanasios as our wedding photographer, the most important day of our lives. His kind, gentle, considerate, patient and professional nature alone are a plus plus point. Then of course, his work, he exceeded our expectations!!! I mean we knew when we chose him that he was amazing, but when we saw the photos they were even BEYOND amazing!! When we showed our families our photos they got emotional, there were happy tears, laughter & smiles, he gave us the chance to RE-LIVE our wedding day through the pictures as well as for our loved ones that could not be there feel like they were a part of that special day…he captured great moments without even noticing him doing his job during the events. Everyone said they felt our pictures were out of a fashion magazine!! Great talent, amazing skills, creativity at its best and real quality is what we got from Athanasios. Probably the best decision we made! If we could we would write him a thank you e-mail everyday for the rest of our lives just to show our appreciation!»

Some words about Mykonos
Mykonos (/ˈmɪkəˌnɒs/, /ˈmɪkəˌnoʊs/; Greek: Μύκονος [ˈmikonos]) is a Greek island, part of the Cyclades, lying between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos. The island spans an area of 85.5 square kilometres (33.0 sq mi) and rises to an elevation of 341 metres (1,119 feet) at its highest point. There are 10,134 inhabitants (2011 census), most of whom live in the largest town, Mykonos, which lies on the west coast. The town is also known as Chora (i.e. the Town in Greek, following the common practice in Greece when the name of the island itself is the same as the name of the principal town).
Mykonos’s nickname is The island of the winds. Tourism is a major industry and Mykonos is well known for its vibrant nightlife and for being a gay-friendly destination with many establishments catering for the LGBT community.
Mythology
In Greek mythology, Mykonos was named after its first ruler, Mykons, the son or grandson of the god Apollo and a local hero. The island is also said to have been the location of a great battle between Zeus and Titans and where Hercules killed the invincible giants having lured them from the protection of Mount Olympus. It is even said that the large rocks all over the island are the petrified testicles (or, in bowdlerized versions of the myth, the entire corpses) of the giants; this portion of the myth is the source of the slang term “stones” attested in most major European languages
Climate
Mykonos has a typical Mediterranean climate. The sun shines for up to 300 days a year. The rainy season lasts from October until March.[citation needed] Vegetation follows the typical pattern for the region and grows around mid-autumn and ends in the beginning of the summer.
Although temperatures can rise as high as 40 °C (104 °F) in the summer months, average high temperature is around 28 °C (82 °F) and because of the seasonal cool “meltemi” wind, summer days are dry, sunny and pleasant. In the winter, average high temperature is around 15 °C (59 °F). The winters in general are mild and wet, with many sunny days still even in mid-winter. Snow is infrequent and doesn’t stay long on the ground when it falls.
