Family Photography
Family Photography in Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Thessaloniki, Greece and all Greek islands.
This post is related to a two part family photography session in the two Greek major cities….Thessaloniki and Athens.
Family photographer (thats me 🙂 , photographing the three generations lovely women of the same family from the Netherlands.
We had the first session in Thessaloniki, their cruise ship had a stop there for a few hours.
The style was casual.
The session started at the harbour, we passed Ladadika area, then Moni Vlatadon and finally the famous Aristotelous squaere.
That is where we ended the family photography session.
A few days later, I met the two ladies, grandmother and granddaughter in Athens. This session was based on the ancient Greek culture and history.
More elegant style this time!
Solo portraits were also part of the photography session in Athens but I will get back to that at another post!
The main and more important session for the family was in Athens. Here is the message I received from them for which I thank them 🙂 …..
“You are such an artist!! Stunning!!!”

Thessaloniki is not as known as Athens, so a few words about the city
Thessaloniki was named after Alexander the Greats sister! It is a vibrant city with exceptional history, sightseeings and …cuisine. The metropolis of Thessaloniki has a population of over a million and is the biggest city in the northern part of Greece. It is built by Thermaïkos and Strymonikos Gulf, on fertile grounds resting beside the Rivers of Axios, Gallikos and Loudias, as well as the lakes Koroneia and Volvi.
Findings prove that Thessaloniki has been inhabited since prehistoric times, marked by multiculturalism, yet its present day modernised state is charmingly intertwined with archaeological sites, byzantine churches and other significant monuments from the past.
Thessaloniki is a busy, bustling city at all times of the day but especially at night when it becomes brighter and colourful.
